Bearing Witness to History
Renowned anthropologist Margaret Mead reminds us, that together we can achieve our goal. No matter that we are initially limited to a few motivated and passionate people. That’s where it starts!
As Mead explains, “never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.” It’s a powerful source of encouragement. Those of us committed to sustainably struggle daily in our attempts to help transform our societies. It’s certainly tough, vexing, and potentially exhausting. But it’s also fiercely motivating and absolutely worth the effort! Mead tells us to remember, that history is on our side.
