The Power of Persistence

Coolidge Quote

We Must Presson On

This is one of my favorite quotes, one that strongly encourages us to keep on striving for that which is most important to us. A reminder to stay committed. Climate change and issues of sustainability are extraordinary challenging, but if we remained fixed on our goals and demonstrate tenacity and grit, we can overcome.

Persistence is Omnipotent

As explained by Coolidge, the 30th President of the United States, “Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan ‘Press On’ has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race.” I hope that these words trigger in you a similar motivation and strengthened sense of resolve. We don’t need immediate perfection, but a consistent drive to do better than yesterday (see Tomorrow).
